Before the World Cup Trophy is handed out July 19, fans can socialize and watch matches at organized gatherings across Canada.Kevin Sousa/Reuters

Canadian soccer fans don’t need to travel to host cities Toronto and Vancouver to take part in World Cup festivities. With some help from the federal government, FIFA is bringing live match screenings, fan events, soccer-themed activities and cultural programming to 38 stops across the country. FIFA has said one in four Canadians will be within a two-hour drive of one of these events.

Here are some of the stops where soccer fans can gather for food, music and games.

Halifax

Fans in Halifax can screen live matches and cheer for their favourite teams on outdoor fields at the Garrison Grounds on June 11.

Niagara Falls, Ont.

Catch the games on outdoor screens next to Niagara Falls. Fan Zone by the Falls will have live match viewing all day as well as soccer-themed activities around the parks from June 11 to July 19.

Kamloops, B.C.

Join the celebration from June 11 to July 19 at Riverside Park, where there will be outdoor watch parties with food trucks and beer gardens.

Revelstoke, B.C.

Centennial Park next to the Columbia River will welcome soccer fans from all over Revelstoke to enjoy a live screening on June 22.

Nelson, B.C.

Catch the Canada-Switzerland match right next to Kootenay Lake on June 24. Fans from the Kootenay community can expect four days of FIFA festivities at Lakeside Park.
