’90s Rock Band Extends 2026 Tour With Special Guests

9 June 20262 Mins Read

With recent tour announcements from Weezer, Goo Goo Dolls, The Flaming Lips, and so many more, ’90s rock is so back.

The latest rush of nostalgia comes from Candlebox — the alternative post-grunge pioneers who lived nestled in between our Collective Soul and Silverchair CDs (and still do, actually). The band has its Can’t Quit You Tour with a heavy run of July and August 2026 summer dates. The updated leg also features guest acts Nigel Dupree and Nigel & the Heat.

Formed in November 1990 in Seattle, the original four-piece band included lead vocalist Kevin Martin, guitarist Peter Klett, bassist Bardi Martin, and drummer Scott Mercado. The foursome were behind the self-titled 1993 debut album that went multi-platinum, peaking at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and helping define the band with one clear signature hit — “Far Behind” — and several deep cuts and fan favorites including “You,” “Cover Me,” and “Change.”

Today, K. Martin and Klett are joined by bassist Adam Kury, rhythm guitarist Island Styles, and drummer BJ Kerwin.

In other news, the band announced a new album, tentatively scheduled for release in 2027. It comes as a pleasant surprise for fans who thought 2023’s The Long Goodbye was the band’s farewell.

In March, per Rock Documented LLC, Martin confirmed the album, sharing that eight songs are in development, with plans to release singles throughout the year. Martin credited the return of Klett and a solid string of shows as the catalyst for getting back in the studio.

Candlebox kicks off their summer tour July 2 at Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with stops across the country well into September. Tickets are on sale now. Check your calendar, make your plans, ’cause you don’t want to get left far behind.
