It is shaping up to be another busy weekend in Calgary, and we are totally here for it. With plenty happening across the city, it’s one of those weekends where there is always something worth stepping out for, no matter what kind of plans you’re in the mood for.

We’ve pulled together some of the best events happening across the city so you can make the most of your weekend.

Let’s jump into it.

Think you know history? Think again. The Curiosities and Oddities Walking Tour at Heritage Park takes you on a 1.5-hour guided walk through some of the strangest stories of the past. Each stop along the route reveals a quirky side of Alberta’s history you’ve probably never heard before.

When: Friday, June 12, 2026
Time: 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Heritage Park – 1900 Heritage Dr. SW, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: General Admission, $24.95 +GST

Dallas Smith brings a more intimate stripped-back version of his live show to Spruce Meadows. The performance focuses on vocals and storytelling, reworking fan favourites in a more acoustic style.

When: Friday, June 12, 2026
Time: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Spruce Meadows – 18011 Spruce Meadows Way SW, Calgary, Alta.

Barbie is taking over Spruce Meadows for a three-day experience featuring themed activations, shopping, live entertainment, and family fun. From Barbie Boxes to the Think Pink Roller Rink, it all comes together alongside world-class show jumping.

A key feature of the weekend is the ChangemakeHER Forum – a ticketed event that brings together influential women from sport, business, media, entertainment and culture.  Guests attending the forum can also enjoy an elevated hospitality experience and premium viewing access to the RBC Grand Prix throughout the day.

The Hangar Flight Museum’s Open Aircraft Days are officially back for the summer! Visitors will have the opportunity to step inside real historic planes, with a rotating lineup that includes everything from wartime bombers to classic Canadian aircraft.

The Calgary Reptile Expo is taking over the Genesis Centre with a weekend full of reptiles, exotic animals, and plenty of family-friendly learning experiences. Visitors can browse vendors, learn from experts, and see everything from snakes and lizards to unique amphibians up close.

GMC Stadium hosts the inaugural First Nations Rodeo Relay, featuring Indigenous athletes from Canada and the U.S. competing in fast-paced rodeo events and relay races. It’s a powerful celebration of sport, culture, and tradition for all ages.

Calling all ABBA fans! This one’s for you. ABBA Revisited is coming to the Grey Eagle Event Centre, delivering a high-energy tribute to the iconic Swedish group. The show will feature iconic hits, authentic costumes, and plenty of nostalgic moments.
