Jacco van Teeffelen Named Managing Director at Virginia’s The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa

The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa has appointed Jacco van Teeffelen as managing director. In this role, van Teeffelen will oversee all aspects of operations at the property.

Van Teeffelen joins The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa from Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, where he held leadership positions for more than 15 years, most recently serving as general manager of Fairmont Mayakoba in Riviera Maya, Mexico. He has also held leadership roles at Fairmont Winnipeg, Fairmont San Francisco, Fairmont Grand Del Mar, and The SAVOY Hotel London.

Van Teeffelen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Hotel Management from the Hotel Management School Maastricht in The Netherlands.

His appointment comes as The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa continues a revitalization project valued at over $180 million. The resort has cited guest demand for wellness experiences, multigenerational travel offerings, outdoor activities, championship golf, and culinary programming.

Dan Piotrowski, senior vice president of operations for Omni Hotels & Resorts, commented on van Teeffelen’s operational expertise and experience in managing luxury resorts.

Van Teeffelen will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing evolution of the guest experience and maintaining the property’s traditions.
