Blacksand and Marriott International have signed an agreement to develop ten hotels in Saudi Arabia, representing more than 1,300 rooms. The multi-brand deal will include properties under Marriott’s luxury, premium, select, and extended-stay brands. Projects are currently in the design planning and early construction stages, with phased openings scheduled through 2030.

The planned hotels will feature brands such as St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, Marriott Hotels, Autograph Collection, Moxy Hotels, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott, and Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy. The first hotel is expected to open in Riyadh, with additional properties planned for multiple cities across the country.

The ten hotels are projected to create more than 6,000 full-time roles upon completion, with at least 60% of those positions allocated to Saudi nationals. The agreement establishes a long-term collaboration between Blacksand and Marriott International to deliver projects aligned with tourism and urban development initiatives in Saudi Arabia.

Both companies plan to use this agreement as a foundation for future collaboration in expanding their joint portfolio in Saudi Arabia.
