Don’t let the weather forecast fool you. Staying in this weekend would be a huge mistake, as the city is coming alive with art, live theatre, night markets, motorsports, jazz, and so much more. Here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Edmonton this weekend (June 26-28).

This all-ages market is perfect for anyone looking for an evening getaway full of community vendors and food trucks. There will be over 85 vendors, artists, and local brewers, as well as food trucks. Not to mention, if you want something to celebrate the occasion, there are also flash tattoos available.

Alberta Aviation Museum — 11410 Kingsway NW, Edmonton, Alta.

Two days of non-stop entertainment and motorsports action are coming to the RAD Torque Raceway at the Edmonton International Airport, including diesel drag racing, a huge Show & Shine, a vendor market, and live music.

When: Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28, 2026

Events from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and until 7 p.m. on Sunday 
Where: 
RAD Torque Raceway, Edmonton International Airport — 1000 Airport Rd., Edmonton, Alta.

The Heritage Amphitheatre in William Hawrelak Park has transformed for this year’s Freewill Shakespeare Fest, which is bringing two charming productions to the stage this summer: SOMETHING ROTTEN! and Much Ado About Nothing. You can’t go wrong with either show!

The Works Art & Design Festival is back, bringing together over 200 artists across 41 exhibits at over a dozen galleries across downtown Edmonton. At the centre of it all is Churchill Square, where 19 exhibits now showcase everything from paintings to immersive, hands-on art experiences. It’s a great place to get your creative juices flowing and support emerging local artists.

This weekend, cheer on the Riverhawks as they face off against the Port Angeles Lefties at RE/MAX Field.

When: Saturday, June 27, 2026

Where: RE/MAX Field — 10233 96 Ave NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $10+

This market in Old Strathcona has been around for ages, and it’s Edmonton’s most premier farmers’ market. Being the original year-rounder, this place offers the best locally grown and made goods as well as trinkets you won’t be able to find anywhere else.

When: Every Saturday and Sunday
Time: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays
Where: 10310 83rd Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

Jazz is going to be taking over all of Edmonton.

With a dual focus of bringing the world’s greatest jazz musicians to perform in our city and shining the spotlight on Edmonton’s own emerging jazz talent, there’s no question why this festival has continued its run for over 20 years.

If you’re familiar with Fort Edmonton Park‘s Where Dark Things Dwell, its highly anticipated sequel has just arrived.

Teams of four will work together in this escape “room” experience to solve puzzles, uncover clues, and complete challenges throughout the park’s 1885 Street, racing to break a mysterious curse before time runs out.

When: Now until Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026
Time: 6 and 8:30 p.m.
Where: Fort Edmonton Park — 7000 143rd St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $35

Queen Mary’s Market is located in the heart of Edmonton and offers over 130 vendors, as well as five individual restaurants within the building. This market takes on strong local vendors with a selection of antiques, rare collectibles, local produce, artisanal goods, and services.

When: Every Saturday and Sunday
Time: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays
Where: 12011 111th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Free

This is Edmonton’s largest and longest-standing outdoor market, offering over 200 vendors and a wonderful variety of handmade goods and locally produced treats. It’s a great community-driven market that’s perfect for those looking to get closer to bakers, chefs, artisans, and more.

When: Every Sunday until Oct. 11, 2026
Time: 10 a.m to 3 p.m.
