Cowboys Music Festival is giving Calgary a chance to help break a Guinness World Records title

Calgary, it’s time to bring out the glitter because Drag Me To Cowboys is hoping to make history this summer. Cowboys Music Festival just revealed that the iconic drag celebration will attempt to break a Guinness World Records title for the largest attendance at a drag show.

The massive event invites thousands of fans to come together, celebrate, and be part of a record-breaking moment as Calgary aims to make history with one of the biggest drag celebrations the world has ever seen. And with a lineup this legendary, you can expect a larger-than-life celebration packed with iconic performances and jaw-dropping looks.

A historic drag celebration in the making

Drag Me To Cowboys will bring together some of the biggest names in drag to Cowboys Music Festival for an afternoon packed with unforgettable looks and plenty of glam.

According to Cowboys Music Festival, the lineup includes Sasha Velour, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9, who has become internationally known for her theatrical performance and boundary-pushing artistry.

Joining her are Sasha Colby, a fan-favourite queen celebrated for her legendary runway moments, and Roxxxy Andrews, a RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5 standout known for her glamour and charisma.

Canadian talent will also take the stage with Nearah Nuff, who will bring her signature energy after competing on Canada’s Drag Race Season 4 and returning for Canada’s Drag Race All Stars.

The event will be hosted by Calgary drag icon Farrah Nuff, with a special DJ set from Calgary queen and comedian Karla Marx. And for the main event of the afternoon, fans can expect a special DJ set from the “Mother of Drag” herself, RuPaul.

What to know before you go

Ready to be part of Calgary history? The Drag Me To Cowboys event will take place on Saturday, July 11, with gates opening at 1 p.m. Since the event is expected to draw a large crowd, it’s best to arrive a few minutes before the doors open to avoid long lines.

Tickets and VIP suites are on sale now, with general admission tickets starting at $79.99 and VIP starting at $99.99.

Whether you’re coming for the performance, the party, or the chance to say “I was there” when Calgary attempted a Guinness World Record, this is an event you won’t want to miss.

So grab your friends, put on your best outfit and get ready to help Calgary break a world record!
