‘And My Sugar?’ quest walkthrough in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced

9 July 20263 Mins Read

The “And My Sugar?” quest in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is your first test of stealth. Eavesdropping, blending in with the crowd, and finding alternative ways to get what you need are essential skills for locating the confiscated goods and clearing the Castillo in Havana.

Here’s how to complete the “And My Sugar?” quest in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.

‘And My Sugar?’ quest walkthrough

“And My Sugar?” unlocks shortly after you arrive in Havana for the first time. Having just escaped the guards following the tavern brawl in the “Lively Havana” quest, return to the harbor in the east to have a chat with Stede Bonnet, who’ll inform Edward that his dispatches were stolen by Spanish soldiers.

Your first objective is to gather more information. You can use the nearby haystack to hide and eavesdrop on the soldiers.

Walk north to find the gallows and watch the hanging. Stay amidst the crowd to avoid suspicion — don’t leave until Captain Mendoza is a fair distance away. If you see the “hidden” icon (an eye with a slash through it) at the top of the screen, you’ll know you’re safe.

Mendoza and his guards will enter the heavily guarded fortress, the Castillo, but don’t follow him.

Of course, you could fight your way through the front gates, but you’d be massively outnumbered, so it’s best to take the stealth route instead. On the Castillo’s right side, walk across the wooden structure to find another entrance. Beware of the two soldiers; wait until the second soldier looks away before moving onto the staircase. At this point, the game will introduce you to Eagle Vision, which you may use to highlight all nearby enemies in red.

Turn right at the first opportunity and knock out the soldier to find an additional clue; apparently, the goods are stashed in a locked room at the top of the Castillo.

Continue toward the courtyard. When the two soldiers face away from you, jump into the haystack. Wait for the patrolling soldier to walk away again, then run upstairs.

Although the “And My Sugar?” quest marker is placed on the stolen goods, you don’t have the key yet, so turn right at the first opportunity, and then left, to find and pickpocket Captain Mendoza. He’s facing away from you, so as long as you use stealth, you can steal his key without bloodshed. However, beware of the patrolling soldier on the wall behind Mendoza; wait for him to turn his back before you sneak past.

Now, take down the soldier in front of the storage room with the stolen goods and open the door. Before you return to Stede Bonnet to complete the “And My Sugar?” quest, you may want to unlock the viewpoint (fast travel point) on the Castillo; it’s on the tower opposite the room with the stolen goods.

The next quest in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is “Mister Walpole, I Presume?” which eventually leads to another stealth challenge in “Claiming What’s Due.”
