Hilton has appointed Jamal Massengale as general manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Jersey City. Massengale will oversee all aspects of operations for the 198-suite hotel, including guest satisfaction, team member engagement, commercial strategy, and overall hotel performance.
Massengale has more than 20 years of hospitality leadership experience, including 12 years with Hilton. Most recently, he served as general manager of Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany. He previously held roles as director of operations at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Boston-Cambridge and as assistant director of food and beverage at the New York Hilton Midtown.
His experience also includes serving as director of food and merchandise operations at New York City’s Beacon Theatre, part of The Madison Square Garden Company, and as beverage manager at Horseshoe Casino and Hotel in Shreveport, Louisiana, a Caesars Entertainment property.
Massengale holds a master’s degree in hospitality management from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in finance and entrepreneurial studies from Babson College.
