In Brief: IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a 158-key Holiday Inn Express conversion property in Ao Nang, Krabi, with Chok Deesuk Co., Ltd., scheduled to open by the end of 2026.

The property will be rebranded as Holiday Inn Express Krabi Ao Nang. It will be the first Holiday Inn Express hotel in Thailand and the second in South East Asia to feature the brand’s Generation 5 design.
Chok Deesuk Co., Ltd. also owns the nearby Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach. The hotel will undergo a comprehensive rebranding program ahead of its opening.
The 158-key hotel is located in Ao Nang, approximately 1 kilometer from Ao Nang Beach and about 40 minutes by car from Krabi International Airport. It is positioned along a main commercial street near shops, restaurants and entertainment options.
Facilities will include an all-day dining restaurant, pool bar, swimming pool and fitness center.
Ao Nang provides access to Poda Island, Chicken Island, Hong Island and Railay Beach. The destination includes dining, outdoor recreation and nightlife offerings.
The brand’s latest Generation 5 Generation 5 design includes flexible environments and social spaces designed for guests to connect, work and unwind, with enhanced comfort, connectivity and functionality.
Conversion signings accounted for nearly 40% of signed keys in Thailand in 2025.
IHG currently operates 42 hotels across 11 brands in Thailand and has 39 properties in the pipeline.
