A free outdoor rave with DJs from around the globe is coming to Calgary

Caldera is a free outdoor rave experience taking over Contemporary Calgary’s loading dock and filling it with national and international DJs, immersive visuals, and a whole lot of dancing.

The event will serve as the grand finale of the BUMP Festival, which showcases artwork across the city while bringing artists and the community together through a variety of events.

So if you’ve been following along with the festival or just happen to be looking for an excuse to dance somewhere this weekend, this might just be the perfect event for you.

What to expect at Caldera

Now before you head to the rave, it helps to know what the BUMP Festival is all about. According to organizers, BUMP is a Calgary street art and mural festival that brings artists from around the world to the city to create large-scale public art, while also hosting music performances and community events.

Over the course of two weeks, the festival transforms different parts of Calgary with installations and other projects, so if you spot some new art popping up around the city, it’s most likely a part of the festival.

And rather than ending things quietly, BUMP is going out with a bang. Caldera will take over Contemporary Calgary and transform it into a free outdoor rave. Throughout the evening, you’ll find immersive visuals and DJs from all over the world playing everything from euphoric club music and techno to bass and hip-hop.

The lineup includes Toronto’s ANGELPHROOT and LITTLE SNAKE, and Calgary’s own A-51 and NALGOTIC, along with even more artists from around the globe.

If you happen to work up an appetite while you’re there, Rolling Munchies will have snacks to keep you fueled up for the night, while Establishment Brewing Company will be serving up local beverages.

Timing and location

Caldera is happening on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, and it is completely free to attend. Just keep in mind that you must be over the age of 18 for this one, so make sure to bring your ID along with you.

And since the event is taking place outdoors, you’ll want to dress for the weather and be prepared to spend the evening on your feet!

After two week of artists showcasing their murals, installations and artwork around Calgary, BUMP is ending things on a high note. And if you ask us, an invitation to a free rave is pretty hard to turn down.
