A new chapter in Marriott International and Societe Hoteliere de Noumea’s more than 30-year relationship now brings regionally rooted, globally connected hospitality to Noumea, the Isle of Pines and Deva.

Series by Marriott, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio of over 30 extraordinary hotel brands, today announced its debut in New Caledonia in collaboration with Societe Hoteliere de Noumea (SHN), marking a new chapter in the companies’ relationship spanning more than three decades and strengthening the tourism offering of the Southern Province.

SHN’s three flagship Le Domaine du Pacifique resort properties in Noumea, the Isle of Pines and Deva now join the Series by Marriott portfolio, Marriott International’s newest collection brand designed to celebrate regional character while delivering the trusted consistency of Marriott’s global standards. The three resorts each showcase an element of New Caledonia’s natural beauty, from lagoons and pristine beaches to forest reserves, offering cultural richness with art, cuisine, heritage and tradition reflective of the authentic blend of Oceanian, French, and Asian influences within New Caledonian society. The announcement brings regionally rooted, globally connected hospitality to one of the South Pacific’s most distinctive island destinations, while allowing each property to retain its local identity and sense of place.

“Series by Marriott is a regionally created, globally connected collection brand that celebrates the individuality of destinations through authentic local experiences and trusted hospitality standards,” said Cristiano Rinaldi, Chief Lodging Product & Services Officer, Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International. “The addition of these three distinctive resorts in New Caledonia is a significant milestone for the brand’s growth in the Pacific. We believe New Caledonia deserves to be experienced in all its richness and diversity, and through Series by Marriott, guests can connect more deeply with the unique character of this remarkable destination while enjoying the benefits and consistency of Marriott Bonvoy.”

Le Domaine Déva, Series by Marriott

Located in Bourail within the Déva Domain nature reserve, Le Domaine Déva, Series by Marriott is a truly unique beachfront resort set beside a UNESCO World Heritage-listed barrier reef and close to the natural landscapes of the Déva Domain. The hotel also offers wellness facilities including Deep Nature Spa with jacuzzi, sauna and treatment rooms “in the trees” with lagoon or forest views, alongside access to biking and horseback riding trails in the surrounding reserve. Nature lovers will enjoy hiking the Domaine de Deva, offering 158 km of marked trails through a massive 7,800-hectare protected dry forest and UNESCO World Heritage lagoon views.

Its turquoise waters, pristine beach and serene island setting provide guests with an unforgettable immersion in the natural beauty of the Isle of Pines.

Guests can dine at La Pirogue, the resort’s signature restaurant overlooking Oro Bay and serving French-inspired cuisine with local flavours, or unwind at Longitude 167 Bar with lagoon views.
