Jimmy Fallon gets ‘Sterling Point’ vibes praising Muskoka as the world’s most beautiful place, Canada Reviews

17 August 20262 Mins Read

Ella Rubin’s hot new Prime Video series is shining a light on Muskoka like never before, and now Jimmy Fallon is helping the cause.

The late-night TV host was praising the cottage country destination during a recent episode of The Tonight Show.

Fallon was discussing Sterling Point with its young star Ella Rubin, who portrays a teenager who inherits a mysterious island in the region.

Rubin spoke enthusiastically about filming in Muskoka and its lakes, forests and rugged cottage-country landscape. Fallon agreed, describing the region as the most beautiful place on Earth.

The comments add to Muskoka’s growing profile as a destination beyond its long-standing reputation among Ontario cottagers. The region is known for its lakes, rocky shorelines, forests and outdoor recreation, attracting visitors from across the province and beyond.

Muskoka has also become a popular destination for high-profile visitors, including celebrities who regularly spend time in the region during the summer.

Sterling Point premiered on Prime Video on Aug. 5. The series has not yet been officially renewed for a second season, but another season is likely given its breakout success and should bring the production back to Muskoka.

Want to know where it’s filmed, check out our article on Sterling Point locations.

The attention is a reminder of what makes the region such a popular summer escape: easy access from Toronto combined with opportunities for boating, hiking, swimming, paddling and simply spending time outdoors among the lakes and forests.
