Edmonton’s getting a new night market with over 40 food vendors and a massive carnival

17 August 20263 Mins Read

Ignite Market is coming to Edmonton this month as the newest night market in the city, featuring great local eats, live performances, and its own carnival to explore through the evening.

Southwest Edmonton is going to be lighting up this August with some incredible energy, all thanks to Ignite Market’s first-ever event. You’re going to want to mark your calendar, because the first year of Ignite Market is already shaping up to be an amazing one.

If you’re ready to head into the city’s newest evening event, we’ve got all the details to know ahead of time.

What to expect at Ignite Market

This market will be taking over Booster Juice Recreation Centre from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. from Aug. 28 to Aug. 30.

With the market partnering alongside a carnival provider, this year brings exciting game areas filled with tons of prizes for folks to win during the weekend. These large-scale games and attractions will provide family-friendly fun for everyone.

In addition to the carnival, there will also be a bunch of food and shopping vendors to visit. If you’re looking to eat, there’s going to be no shortage of options. With over 40 food vendors alone from cultures around the world, you’re definitely going to find something you like.

During the festival, there will be live performances taking the stage. Whether it’s a music performance, a K-pop dance, or something entirely different, you’ll be fascinated as you watch these wonderful artists. Trust us, you’ll definitely want to sit down and watch some moves.

The best thing about this festival? It’s entirely free to enter. With this in mind, this is easily going to be one of Edmonton’s most exciting summer events for the entire family. While this means admission is free, you will have to pay for food, any shopping you’ll want to be getting done, as well as any carnival games.

Trust us, you won’t regret heading out to this new Edmonton market, especially during the summer. Just bring yourself, maybe a couple of friends, and get ready to enjoy a great night filled with food and fun.

When: Friday, Aug. 28, to Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026
Time: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: 2051 Leger Rd., Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Free
