Wanda Hotels & Resorts Surpasses 300 Opened Hotels

20 August 20262 Mins Read

In Brief: Wanda Hotels & Resorts surpassed 300 opened hotels in August and reported more than 500 additional properties in its development pipeline.

Wanda Hotels & Resorts operates more than 300 hotels with more than 52,000 rooms. Its projects extend across more than 400 destinations worldwide, with a portfolio of luxury, upscale and midscale properties in major cities and tourism destinations.

Established in 2007, Wanda Hotels & Resorts provides hotel design, development and operations services.

In the first half of 2026, Wanda Hotels & Resorts signed a management agreement in Zimbabwe, marking its entry into the African market. The company also added projects in Cambodia and Laos, including hotels in Sihanoukville, Phnom Penh and Luang Prabang.

Its existing overseas presence includes Istanbul, Türkiye; Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand; and Vientiane, Laos. Wanda Hotels & Resorts has used an asset-light management model for overseas expansion and adapted operations to local markets.

Domestic projects have focused on integrated tourism and hospitality developments. In the winter tourism sector, Wanda Hotels & Resorts has expanded operations beyond Changbaishan Wanda International Resort to a model combining skiing, wellness, hot springs and family tourism. Related projects are being developed in Jilin province and other destinations.

In Danzhai, Guizhou province, Wanda Hotels & Resorts combines Miao ethnic intangible cultural heritage with accommodation and educational experiences. In Yuxi, Yunnan province, a project centered on the legacy of composer Nie Er integrates music, cultural experiences, retail and accommodation.
