Brooklyn Beckham is paying tribute to longtime friend Presley Gerber, following the model’s death on Sunday.
Taking to his Instagram Stories on Monday morning, Beckham shared a sweet photo of the two of them captioned, “I am so heartbroken, Presley you were the kindest and we are going to miss you so much x we love you.”
The tribute comes a day after Gerber’s family confirmed the news of his passing via a statement obtained by TMZ, in which they asked for “privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”

Both the same age, and the sons of famous parents, the two have seemingly been in the same friend group having attended the same events and gatherings over the years.
In 2018, they were seen hanging out together at Coachella, E! News reported at the time, and Beckham also attended a birthday party for Kaia, Gerber‘s younger sister, where he was also present, according to Vogue.
Most recently though, Gerber supported Beckham at the launch party for his hot sauce brand Cloud 23. Gerber’s model mom Cindy Crawford and dad Rande Gerber also attended the party, per the Daily Mail. The photo Beckham shared in his tribute post to Gerber was from the party.

While exact details around Gerber’s cause of death have not been revealed, it’s been confirmed that he died at a rehab facility, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. An autopsy has yet to be completed.
Gerber was open about his struggle with addiction on social media. In since-deleted post from December of last year he shared, “The benzos have been fluctuating up and down depending on what’s been going on in my life,” and also disclosed that he was taking several depressant medications, including Buprenorphine, Xanax and Valium, to treat panic attacks.
However he ended his post on an inspiring note, hoping to help others.
“So you feel like you’re not alone, because that is how I feel most of the time, and I have a feeling that if I say all of this, a lot of people will at least know that there’s someone else going through it,” he said.
