Hotel Indigo Raleigh has opened at 320 Hillsborough St. following a $36 million renovation of a 204-room building originally constructed in 1969.
Hotel Indigo Raleigh is open and accepting reservations in a round tower on Hillsborough Street in downtown Raleigh. The opening introduces the Hotel Indigo brand to Raleigh and marks the first IHG Hotels & Resorts property in downtown Raleigh.
The building received historic landmark designation in 2015. Tidal Real Estate Partners acquired the property in 2021 and owns it. Sage Hospitality Group manages the hotel.
The renovation retained the building’s curved footprint and included new interiors by New York-based architecture and design firm Inc. The interiors include sculptural forms, geometric patterns, bold colors, polished chrome accents and custom built-in furnishings. Materials include oak finishes and natural cork.
The hotel displays work by North Carolina artists selected by nineDOTarts.
High Ground Lounge is located on the hotel’s 20th floor. The bar and restaurant serve Southern cuisine, craft cocktails and other beverages and are available for private events and social gatherings.
On the ground floor, selective demolition converted previously fragmented areas into a community lounge. A vintage Airstream courtyard coffee bar connects the check-in and arrival spaces along Hillsborough Street.
The hotel includes flexible meeting and event spaces for celebrations and corporate gatherings. It also has a 1,500-square-foot fitness center for guests with TechnoGym equipment.
Hotel Indigo Raleigh joins Hotel Indigo properties in Asheville and Winston-Salem.
