Halle Berry’s ex, Olivier Martinez, has filed a temporary restraining order against the actress, alleging that she abused their 12-year-old son, Maceo, Page Six reports.
According to the outlet, Martinez says Berry harmed their son by jumping on him and putting her hands around his neck on Sept. 26. The incident allegedly began when Berry said Maceo looked “so stupid” and is “such an idiot” for playing a virtual reality game with the goggles.
“The situation escalated and Petitioner jumped on our son and started physically fighting with him,” he alleged in the documents, according to Page Six. “She grabbed Maceo by the neck and started choking him while shouting, ‘Who is dominant now?! Who is dominant?!’”
Martinez said that this is not an isolated incident, with Berry having been abusive towards their son on other occasions.
“Throughout the last year and a half, Ms Berry had wrestled Maceo to the ground and forced him to ‘tap out,” he claims in the docs, adding that she also caused him mental distress by making racially charged statements towards him.
In the documents, he says he has “significant concerns” about the actress’s mental health, “as well as her alcohol abuse, which I believe have contributed to her abusive conduct.”
He has requested sole custody of the couple’s son.
A rep for Berry did not immediately respond to Parade’s request for comment.
