Carmel Valley Ranch Names Tom Wolf Managing Director

Carmel Valley Ranch has named Wolf managing director of the 500-acre resort in the foothills of California’s Central Coast.

Wolf joins Carmel Valley Ranch after holding management roles at Hyatt properties in the United States and Caribbean. His career with Hyatt began as a reservations clerk and included six general manager roles.

Most recently, Wolf served as managing director of Hyatt Regency Seattle and Hyatt Olive 8. Before that role, he spent three years as managing director of A Seattle Collection by Hyatt, overseeing operations at three Hyatt properties.

Wolf previously served as general manager of Hyatt Regency Seattle, where he led the opening of the 1,260-room convention hotel and its first full year of operations.

His prior roles included positions at Hyatt Regency Bellevue, Hyatt Regency Bethesda, Hyatt Regency Aruba, Grand Hyatt Washington and Park Hyatt Washington. His roles covered hotel operations, commercial strategy and management teams at Hyatt properties.

Wolf is originally from Chicago. He attended DePaul University, where he studied business management, and Michigan State University, where he studied hotel and restaurant management.

He has held leadership and advisory roles with Visit Seattle, the Seattle Hotel Association, the Downtown Seattle Association and the Seattle Sports Commission.
