Veteran hospitality marketing executive joins the leadership team to drive brand growth, storytelling, and integrated marketing across The Indigo Road and its collection of hospitality concepts

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) today announced the appointment of Catherine Woods as chief marketing officer. Based in Charleston, Woods joins the company’s executive leadership team and will report directly to Steve Palmer, founder and chief visionary officer.

In this role, Woods will lead marketing across IRHG’s collection of restaurants, hotels, bars, coffee shops, private membership clubs, event venues, and lifestyle experiences, working closely with operations, development, and executive leadership to strengthen the company’s individual brands while building greater awareness and equity for The Indigo Road itself. Her remit spans brand development and strategy, integrated marketing, public relations, partnerships, and programming, with an emphasis on distinctive storytelling, creative execution, and initiatives that support the company’s broader business and growth objectives.

Founded in Charleston in 2009, IRHG owns, operates, and manages hospitality concepts across the United States. The company brings together award-winning restaurants, bars, and food and beverage-driven boutique hotels, all rooted in the company’s approach to creating memorable experiences for guests and the communities it serves.

“Every concept has its own identity, and that individuality is part of what makes each experience special,” said Palmer. “Catherine is a creative and talented marketer who understands how to elevate that individuality through strong marketing strategies while keeping sight of the business behind the brand. That combination is incredibly valuable as we continue to invest in both our individual brands and The Indigo Road Hospitality Group.”

Woods brings more than 16 years of experience in corporate marketing and brand strategy, pairing creative brand building with a focus on measurable business results. Throughout her career, she has helped companies strengthen brand awareness and drive revenue while preserving the distinct identities of individual properties.

Prior to joining IRHG, Woods held marketing leadership roles with Belmond, part of LVMH, and most recently served as vice president of marketing for Beemok Hospitality Collection. Her background includes integrated marketing, partnerships, and experiential activations, with collaborations spanning American Express, Resy, Daniel Humm Hospitality, Over the Moon, Krewe, Jenni Kayne, Schumacher, and Wölffer Estate.

“I was drawn to The Indigo Road Hospitality Group because it’s a company with a strong sense of purpose and a genuine commitment to its people and the communities it serves,” said Woods. “There’s tremendous opportunity to build on that foundation, strengthening what makes each brand distinctive and telling those stories in more compelling ways.”
