HAMA released its Fall 2026 Industry Outlook Survey results, based on responses from 72 asset managers during its 2026 Annual Fall Meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Hospitality Asset Managers Association released its Fall 2026 Industry Outlook Survey results at its 2026 Annual Fall Meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona. The semiannual report reflected the opinions, experiences and predictions of 72 HAMA asset managers, representing approximately one-third of the association’s membership.
The survey addressed expectations for revenue per available room, or RevPAR, and gross operating profit, as well as the effects of recent geopolitical events and rising energy costs. Most respondents reported increases in RevPAR and gross operating profit to date in 2026.
Respondents also reported that increased costs were affecting margins. Demand, wage increases and labor availability were identified as the three issues of greatest concern among survey participants.
Insurance costs returned as a concern after having been near the bottom of members’ concerns for several years. The report cited increasing liability coverage costs.
The survey found that 71% of respondents said their hotel or hotels were using artificial intelligence in a meaningful way for reporting and analysis.
Respondents remained concerned about international political conditions, while recession concerns were muted. Looking ahead, 97% of respondents expected RevPAR growth to continue into 2027.
