  • Pieter Ham Named General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff, Johannesburg

Pieter Ham has been appointed general manager of Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff, Johannesburg.

Ham will oversee the hotel’s terraced gardens, Lobby Lounge & Bar, Flames, The Grand Ballroom and spa. The property is located on the Westcliff ridge in Johannesburg.

The hotel serves international travelers and local residents through its restaurants, gardens, spa and event spaces. Ham plans to strengthen the hotel’s connections with Johannesburg’s cultural, creative and business communities. During his first weeks in the role, he visited Johannesburg neighborhoods, galleries and restaurants and met people involved in the city’s development.

Ham’s previous roles have included positions in the Caribbean, Middle East, Europe and Asia. He worked in St. Barths and Cairo before helping open and run QO Amsterdam. He subsequently moved to The Woodward in Geneva, where he oversaw food and beverage operations, including Michelin-starred restaurants Atelier Joël Robuchon and Le Jardinier.

He later joined Swire Hotels, where he held senior roles at The Upper House in Hong Kong and served as general manager of EAST Beijing.

Ham graduated from Hotelschool The Hague and later completed a finance-focused MBA at Nyenrode Business University.

He has relocated to Johannesburg with his wife and their three young children.
