RealTime Reservation has appointed Jose “JD” Canelos as senior vice president of product.
Canelos will lead product strategy and the product roadmap for RealTime Reservation, including platform development for its global customer base.
He joins RealTime Reservation from Amadeus Hospitality, where he was vice president of product management. At Amadeus Hospitality, Canelos led global product teams responsible for hotel technology solutions, including central reservations systems, booking engines, distribution, payments, analytics, guest engagement, loyalty and property connectivity.
At Amadeus, he oversaw product organizations and worked on the strategy and development of hotel technology platforms. His experience includes platform modernization, product integration, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, strategic partnerships, and products intended to address hotel operations and guest experience.
Earlier in his career, Canelos held product and digital leadership roles at The Leading Hotels of the World, Centric Digital Consulting, AvePoint and Aetna.
The appointment follows RealTime Reservation’s acquisition of STAY, which combined RealTime Reservation’s ancillary revenue platform with STAY’s in-stay guest engagement technology. The combined platform serves more than 2,000 properties across 75-plus countries.
RealTime Reservation is adding to its leadership team following the acquisition. RealTime Reservation and STAY provide technology for pre-arrival commerce, ancillary revenue, in-stay guest engagement, hotel activities, amenities and related revenue management functions.
