IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed Hotel Indigo London – Kingston with Westcombe Group, which will own the hotel through its Acre Hotels Collection. The property is scheduled to open in 2027 and is set to be the seventh Hotel Indigo in Greater London.
The hotel will be developed through the adaptive reuse of Kingston Bridge House, a vacant former university accommodation building. The mixed-use project will include the Hotel Indigo and 22 residences.
The property will be located in Hampton Wick in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It will offer views of the River Thames and access to Hampton Court Palace, Kew Gardens and Richmond Park. London Waterloo is about 20 minutes away by train, and Heathrow Airport is about 30 minutes away by car.
The project will expand IHG’s presence in London and add a Hotel Indigo property in Hampton Wick. The brand is part of IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio.
Hotel Indigo launched in 2004. The brand had 100 open hotels in 2019 and opened its 200th hotel worldwide before the announcement. As of Sept. 30, 2026, Hotel Indigo had 201 open hotels and 134 properties in the pipeline globally. In Europe, the brand had 55 open hotels and 23 properties in the pipeline.
Westcombe Group said the development will include employment and apprenticeship opportunities and will work with local suppliers.
