Jordon Hudson may already be moving on from Bill Belichick, and many fans seem to be celebrating.
The former cheerleader, 25, has reportedly started seeing other people following her secret split from the North Carolina head coach, 74, according to a source who spoke to TMZ. Her current relationship status is unknown, and no details about who she may be seeing have been reported.
TMZ reported on Friday, Oct. 30, that the pair quietly ended their romance “late last year.” A source told the outlet that they remain committed to their business partnerships and are still close friends. Neither Belichick nor Hudson has publicly addressed the report.
The news surprised many, since Hudson continued to appear at UNC games and public events, which made the relationship seem intact. But once the report broke, a lot of college football fans didn’t seem disappointed at all.
Some fans joked that the breakup finally explained UNC’s recent wins, while others said they always believed the relationship was never going to last. Not everyone was celebrating, though. Some fans used the news to criticize Belichick himself, and others simply shrugged it off.
The sense of relief makes sense given how much controversy the relationship generated. With a nearly 50-year age gap, the couple drew intense scrutiny from the moment their romance became public in 2024.
Hudson’s role in Belichick’s professional life also raised eyebrows. She oversaw his image rights and licensing through a management company, and public records from 2025 showed she tried to trademark phrases related to the coach, including “Chapel Bill” and “All-Belichick Team.” Belichick pushed back on the criticism at the time, saying Hudson “doesn’t have anything to do with UNC football.”
While their romance is reportedly over, their business ties aren’t. But for many fans who spent the past two years watching the relationship unfold, the news of a breakup, even one that happened nearly a year ago, has been met with a collective sigh of relief.
