You can meet alpacas and take tractor rides at this Christmas market near Calgary

3 November 20263 Mins Read

The Granary Road Christmas Market is returning this holiday season, with three weekends of Christmas shopping and seasonal activities just south of Calgary. During the market, you can snap photos with Santa, take a tractor ride around the property, and even spend time doing yoga with goats!

If you’re thinking about checking it out this year, here’s everything you need to know, including the dates, ticket prices, and all the activities you can explore.

Everything to know about the Granary Road Christmas Market

What is the Granary Road Christmas Market?

If you’ve never had the chance to visit Granary Road, it’s a family-friendly destination just outside Calgary, home to a large outdoor learning park, play areas, farm animals, and activities for kids. In the winter, the property closes its outdoor attractions, but you can still visit the indoor Fabulous and Fantastic Farm, an interactive space with exhibits inspired by Alberta’s agricultural history.

During the holiday season, Granary Road hosts a Christmas market, where you can browse local vendors and shop for gifts, handmade items, and other seasonal finds.

What can I do while I’m there?

Alongside shopping at the market, there are plenty of other festive activities to check out:

  • Christmas tractor rides
    • Tractor rides will be available throughout the market and are included with admission.
  • Festive goat yoga
    • You can roll out your mat and get your stretch on alongside some furry friends.
  • Photos with Santa and alpacas
    • Stop by for a photo with Santa or get a picture with the farm’s adorable alpacas.
  • Pancakes with Santa
    • This special breakfast experience includes a pancake breakfast, a special storytime, and a visit from Kris Kringle.
  • Outdoor campfires
    • Campfires will be set up around the property where you can warm up, enjoy a cup of hot cocoa, and roast some marshmallows.

How much are tickets?

Admission to the Christmas market is $10, but if you purchase a ticket for one of the experiences, market admission is included.

Photos with alpaca and Santa cost $59.95 each. Festive goat yoga is $34.95, and Pancakes with Santa starts at $25. You can purchase tickets directly through Granary Road’s official website.
