Welcome to the Calgary Group Chat. November is here, and the city is already giving us lots to chat about. Holiday events are starting to pop up around the city, new restaurants are opening in Calgary neighbourhoods, and the weather is surprisingly nice, which has been making it hard to believe that winter is just around the corner.
So if you’ve been out of the loop this week, we’re here to help. Grab a coffee, get comfortable, and let’s catch up on all the latest Calgary chatter.
What’s new, Calgary?
Who ordered spring in November?
After a snowless Halloween, Calgary’s warm weather is planning to stick around a little longer. Environment and Climate Change Canada is forecasting a stretch of sunshine, with temperatures reaching 12°C this week, and climbing to 15°C on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026. So you can keep the parka in the closet for a little bit longer and enjoy the last stretch of fall before winter inevitably arrives.
A popular brunch spot just opened a new location in Crowfoot
Those in Crowfoot have a new restaurant to add to their brunch rotation. Morning Brunch Co. has officially opened its third location in the neighbourhood, and if you’ve already tried Bro’kin Yolk, its sister restaurant is definitely worth checking out. The two spots have the same owners, but each has an entirely different take on brunch.
