Zac Affleck Shares Emotional Apology to Jen Affleck Days After Divorce Filing

7 November 20262 Mins Read

On Nov. 3, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jen Affleck filed for divorce from Zac Affleck. According to People, in the days following the divorce filing, the former couple have made public statements addressing their split. After the 27-year-old posted several videos of the 30-year-old criticizing her throughout their marriage, Zac shared a TikTok on Friday featuring clips of their happier moments, along with an emotional caption in which he apologized to Jen.

“I married my dream girl, and I messed it up,” Zac wrote. “Jen, I’m sorry. I was supposed to protect your heart and I failed.”

The 30-year-old admitted that he was “young and immature” and didn’t treat her the way she deserved to be treated.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t make the changes I needed to. And I’m sorry I let things get to this point,” he said.

Zac added that, while he “can’t change the past,” he promised “to keep working on myself and do everything I can to be the best father, coparent, and friend moving forward.”

The former couple met in 2018 on a Mormon dating app and married a year later. In 2021, they welcomed their first child, Nora. They also share Luca, 3, Penelope, 1, and Jen is currently pregnant with their fourth child.

“I want to approach this next chapter of life with nothing but love, and gratitude for everything we shared. And the beautiful family we created and will continue to raise. Love you, lil J,” he wrote, concluding the caption.

Zac’s public apology comes after he shared a statement with People on Nov. 5 regarding his split from Jen. In it, he made it clear that he would “always be Jen’s supporter” and he was “just focusing on my kids and figuring out what’s next for me.”
