Heated Rivalry stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams were spotted walking side by side through Toronto this week ahead of season two filming, and (naturally) the surprise reunion sent the show’s fanbase into a complete meltdown online!
There’s footage of HudCon casually strolling down the street as a delighted fan squeals behind the camera (a completely reasonable reaction).
And a picture shared by a Hudson Williams fan account shows the actors greeting fans on Yonge Street Tuesday night, prompting appropriately dramatic responses across social media, like “I CAN FINALLY BREATHE AGAIN,” “HUDCON HEALINGS” and even “I CAN’T STOP GIGGLING OVER THE BOYS. WE ARE SO BACK.”
“The interaction and photo were both very much wholesome and positive,” the fan account said.

Another photo of the duo shared by a fan shows Williams and Storrie in coordinating baseball caps, navy shorts and crossbody bags. And they were also spotted strolling together near Zanzibar on Yonge Street Wednesday night.
Their Toronto outing comes at the perfect time. According to Toronto Filming, production on the second season is scheduled to begin on Aug. 10 and continue until Dec. 2, with filming primarily based at soundstages in Toronto and additional on-location filming taking place in Montreal and Ottawa.
And if you’re somehow out of the loop on the internet’s Heated Rivalry obsession, the hit Crave drama is based on Rachel Reid’s Game Changers book series and follows two pro hockey players whose on-ice rivalry develops into a secret romantic relationship. Williams plays reserved Canadian hockey star Shane Hollander, while Storrie stars as his confident Russian rival, Ilya Rozanov.
Season 2 is expected to shift away from the first season’s will-they-won’t-they dynamic and into something thornier: what happens after a great love story is already in motion, but ambition, mental health and the possibility of going public start pressing in from every direction? In December, series creator Jacob Tierney confirmed that The Long Game, Reid’s second novel centred on Shane and Ilya, is the “foundational document” for season two, though he hinted there might be too much material to fit neatly into one instalment (meaning Shane and Ilya’s story could continue into another season!).
Other season two cast members to look out for could include Christina Chang (Yuna Hollander), Dylan Walsh (David Hollander), Sophie Nélisse (Rose Landry) and Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova (Svetlana). Based on the source material, there will also be a few new faces to look out for — including yet-to-be-revealed actors playing Troy Barrett and Harris Drover, another Game Changers series couple.
Behind the scenes, Tierney is bringing in Michael Goldbach (of North of North fame) as his co-writer for the upcoming season, according to Deadline.
An official premiere date hasn’t yet been announced, although the second season is tentatively expected to arrive in spring 2027. Until then, well, Toronto fans will just have to keep their eyes peeled for HudCon strolling about town.
