A holiday market with reindeer visits and a festive cocktail bar is coming to Calgary

2 November 20263 Mins Read

It’s never too early to start getting into the Christmas spirit, especially when one of Calgary’s favourite holiday markets is just around the corner. The Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market is returning to the city with hundreds of vendors, an adults-only shopping experience, reindeer visits, and a new Christmas-themed cocktail bar.

There’s a lot to check out this year, so let’s get into the details.

What to expect at Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market

What is the Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market?

According to organizers, the Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market is a European-style holiday market featuring more than 325 vendors selling gifts, decor, and seasonal treats.

Beyond shopping, you can enjoy live entertainment, grab food from local vendors, and even visit the reindeer on Sundays.

What is Adult Night?

New for 2026, the market is introducing an adults-only shopping experience running every Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. During the experience, you’ll be able to enjoy the market after dark and enjoy seasonal cocktails at Miracle at the Meadows, a Christmas-themed pop-up bar.

When is the Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market?

The market takes place over four weekends this year: three in November and one in December.

Here are the dates to mark on your calendar:

  • Friday, Nov. 13 to Sunday, Nov. 15
  • Friday, Nov. 20 to Sunday, Nov. 22
  • Friday, Nov. 27 to Sunday, Nov. 29
  • Friday, Dec. 4 to Sunday, Dec. 6

The market will be open from noon to 9 p.m. on Fridays, with regular all-ages shopping from noon to 6 p.m., followed by the new adults-only shopping experience from 6 to 9 p.m.

Saturdays will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., while Sundays are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Where is the Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market?

The Market will take place both indoors and outdoors at Spruce Meadows, and it will run no matter the weather, so make sure to dress warmly and wear comfortable footwear,

How much are tickets?

General admission tickets are currently $20 for adults and $12 for children ages three to 12 and seniors 65 and older. Children two and under get in for free, and general parking is included with admission.

Tickets for Adult Night are sold separately; however, if you already have a general admission ticket for Friday, you won’t need to purchase an additional ticket to stay for Adult Night.

You can buy tickets online through Showpass or at the gate, but organizers recommend grabbing yours early, as the event can sell out quickly.

Happy holiday shopping!
