Summer is just around the corner, which means festival season is about to be back in full swing. Country Thunder is returning to the city later this month, bringing a weekend full of country music to Calgary. Over the years, the festival has become a staple on the city’s summer calendar, uniting big country acts and newer artists all in one place.
And with Stampede season right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to start getting back into festival mode.
A weekend packed with big-name country artists
According to organizers, Country Thunder will return to Calgary from Friday, June 26 to Sunday, June 28, 2026, taking over the Confluence for three days of live country music.
The lineup brings together some of the biggest names in country right now, along with a few rising artists. Throughout the weekend, you can catch artists like Kane Brown, Lainey Wilson, The Red Clay Strays, Cameron Whitcomb, and so many more.
Here’s a look at the full festival lineup:

Plan your visit
General admission tickets for the festival start at $150, with options for single-day entry or full weekend passes if you’re planning to stay for all three days. If you’re going with friends or family, there are also bundled ticket options that are a bit cheaper.
And if you’re planning to travel from out of town, there are hotel packages available directly through the festival’s website at a discounted rate, so you don’t have to worry about finding a place to stay.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase on-site throughout the weekend, so you don’t have to worry about carrying a bunch of extra stuff around with you. Since the festival is outdoors with limited shade and shelter, it’s a good idea to come prepared with sunscreen, hats, and anything else you’ll need for a full day outside, especially given the warm weather in late June.
If you’re looking for another excuse to dust off your cowboy boots this summer that isn’t Stampede, this is it. So grab your friends and family, and get ready for three days packed with live country music.
