A massive Malibu Barbie cafe and roller rink is officially coming to Toronto, Canada Reviews

8 July 20262 Mins Read

Start planning your pink outfits, Toronto. The ultimate Barbiecore dining and entertainment experience is making its Canadian debut in the city this summer, and it’s a total throwback dream. Following massive, sold-out runs across the U.S. and Australia, the Malibu Barbie Cafe is landing at 70 The Esplanade on August 13.

Malibu Barbie Cafe

Brought to life by Mattel and Bucket Listers, this experience will be nothing like your standard sit-down dinner. The pop-up is completely channeling the groovy, sun-drenched energy of 1970s Malibu. Guests will be treated to a playful, retro roller rink alongside plenty of immersive, Instagram-worthy photo backdrops where you can live out your best doll-life fantasies.

If you’re going for the food, you won’t just be eating for the aesthetic. The fast-casual menu was dreamed up by MasterChef finalist and Chopped champion chef Becky Brown. Expect a colourful lineup of all-day favourites, playful desserts and heavily themed specialty beverages.

Once you’ve fueled up, you can lace up some skates and hit the rink. Even better, proceeds from every single roller skate rental are being donated directly to Girls Inc. Beyond the everyday dining and skating, the cafe has a whole calendar of interactive events lined up. You can expect things like cupcake decorating classes, themed paint parties and exclusive 21 plus skate nights for the adult fans, alongside plenty of exclusive merchandise up for grabs.

As expected with anything Barbie-related, demand is going to be wild. Tickets will be available exclusively through Bucket Listers, and they include both a food and merchandise credit. The official waitlist is already live, so you’ll want to sign up immediately if you want first dibs when they drop.
