A brand-new music festival will be making its Calgary debut this weekend, with Indigenous artists from Treaty 7 and beyond taking the stage. Stoodis Music Festival will feature more than 10 artists across genres including hip-hop, electronic, metal, folk, and traditional music.

What is Stoodis Music Festival?
Stoodis Music Festival is a new Indigenous-led music festival. According to organizers, the event centres on Indigenous artists, culture, and community, creating a space where Indigenous musicians can perform, connect with audiences, and gain a bigger platform for their work.
The festival describes itself as more than a concert, bringing together families, youth, and community members to celebrate Indigenous creativity. The inaugural event will feature live performances across genres, alongside Elders, food, and cultural programming throughout the day.

Music is at the heart of the festival, with more than 10 Indigenous artists taking the stage. Here’s a look at the full lineup:

While the live music is the main event, you’ll also find drum groups, Elder talks, food, and other opportunities to experience Indigenous culture throughout the event.
How much are tickets to the festival?
General admission tickets are $15, plus applicable fees, for a total of $19.20. Admission is free for children 12 and under and seniors over 60.

Stoodis Music Festival will take place on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, with doors opening at noon and music starting at 1 p.m.
Where is the festival taking place?
The festival will be held at MacEwan Hall on the University of Calgary campus.
If you’re driving, several paid parking lots are nearby, including Lots 10 and 11 along Collegiate Boulevard and the MacEwan Student Centre Parkade, located underneath the building. The university lists Lots 10 and 11 at $6.50 per day on weekends, while the MacEwan Hall Parkade costs $6.50 per hour, with a $26 daily maximum.
You can pay for parking through the on-site meters or the Parkedin app.
If you’re taking transit, the venue is just a short walk away from the University CTrain Station, and several Calgary Transit bus routes also serve the campus.
