A Toronto musician is having an album release party in a secret underground TTC subway station, Canada Reviews

8 July 20262 Mins Read

Toronto’s hidden underground history will meet one of the city’s emerging music artists as Fox Revett is set to take over one of the city’s most mysterious, dare we say haunted, spaces.

On July 20, Revett will stage the first immersive concert inside Lower Bay Station, the long-closed subway platform beneath Bay Station that has been largely inaccessible to the public for decades.

For one night, the abandoned station will transform into a live music venue celebrating the release of Fox’s debut album, I Don’t Know Where I Left My Body.

The event will combine live music with theatrical production, immersive staging and surprise special guests.

The choice of venue carries special meaning for Revett, whose connection to the TTC helped shape their rise as an artist. Much of the new album was written while riding public transit through Toronto, which is fitting as they first gained widespread attention through performance videos on subway platforms.

“The subway is where this album was born,” said Revett. “It felt right to bring it back there.”

Lower Bay Station has been closed to regular subway service since 1966 after the TTC changed its train routing system. The station has since been used occasionally for film shoots, special events and TTC training, and rumoured paranormal activity. Its preserved platforms have made it one of the city’s most fascinating hidden spaces.

Fox Revett’s concert will offer fans a rare opportunity to experience both a new album and artists as well as a very cool piece of Toronto lore.
