Aesthetic Nurse Anna reveals her recipe for aging backwards

15 October 20263 Mins Read

What does an aesthetic nurse choose when it comes to their own skin? Since the age of 33, Sovereign Skin’s Laser and Aesthetics Nurse, Anna, has been perfecting her recipe for “aging backwards”— combining treatments that target texture, expression lines and firmness.

In celebration of National Aesthetician Day on Oct. 15, we’re sharing a look at her routine. For anyone noticing more visible lines, sun damage or changes in firmness, Anna’s approach offers plenty of inspiration.

Her foundation: Laser resurfacing

Anna loves deep fractional laser resurfacing to refresh skin quality and stimulate the skin’s natural renewal process and collagen production. The treatment can help improve the appearance of sun damage, uneven texture, fine lines and wrinkles.

Treatment intensity and recovery are tailored to each patient, while collagen-related improvements continue developing over time.

Her maintenance step: Neuromodulators

Anna keeps up with her neuromodulator sessions, often referred to as “preventative Botox.” By temporarily relaxing targeted facial muscles, these treatments soften expression lines across areas such as the forehead, between the brows and around the eyes.

And they aren’t just for prevention: neuromodulators can also soften existing expression lines, making them a useful part of a personalized plan for mature skin.

Her newest addition: Zaffiro

The latest ingredient in Anna’s recipe is Zaffiro, a treatment sometimes described as a “non-surgical facelift.” Using infrared energy to stimulate collagen remodelling, Zaffiro helps improve firmness for a tighter, more lifted appearance over time. It offers a non-surgical approach to skin tightening, a great alternative to a surgical facelift when done frequently.

Anna’s plan includes three sessions spaced approximately one month apart, with improvements developing gradually as the skin responds.

Find your own recipe at Sovereign Skin

Resurfacing for texture, neuromodulators for expression lines, and Zaffiro for firmness — each treatment has a different role in Anna’s recipe to aging backwards. Sovereign Skin in Yorkville, Toronto, offers all three, with personalized plans based on your skin, goals, and recovery preferences. You don’t need to have started at 33 to explore your options today.

Book a consultation to discover what your own recipe for refreshed, healthy-looking skin could look like.
