All photography locations in Forza Horizon 6

15 May 202610 Mins Read

In the “Photography” section of the collection journal in Forza Horizon 6, you need to find and photograph 26 items, murals, and landmarks.

As the Forza Horizon 6 map is huge, it takes a bit of time to locate every point of interest. Additionally, as seasons change, the locations of certain items will also change — making the journal even more difficult to complete. However, if you’re able to find them all, you’ll earn a ton of rewards like credits and cars.

Here’s where you can find each location in the “Photography” section of the “Discover Japan” journal in Forza Horizon 6.

Where to find kites in Forza Horizon 6

Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Playground Games/Xbox Games Studios

Kites can be found in two locations in the Shimanoyama region during the summer:

  • Northeast of Horizon Stadium
  • Narai-juku

Horizon Stadium is the large circular arena on the west side of the map, while Narai-juku is the small town in the northwestern corner of the map.

Where to find koinobori fish flags in Forza Horizon 6

Koinobori fish flags can be found in a variety of locations during the spring:

  • Outside of Mei’s House in the Ohtani region
  • Tokyo Tower in Tokyo City
  • Narai-juku in Shimanoyama
  • Small town along the coast of the bay in the northern half of the Ito region

If it’s not spring, don’t worry as you’re also guaranteed to find them during the Prologue race. The Prologue race starts off in the Takashiro region, and has an icon featuring the 2025 Toyota GR GT Prototype and Mt. Fuji.

After you descend the first hill, you’ll find koinobori fish flags strewn up in the streets. To take a photo, open the menu, swap to the “Creative Hub” tab, and select “Photo Mode.” From here, photograph the fish flags to add them to your collection journal.

Where to find sky lanterns in Forza Horizon 6

We have driven around the entire Forza Horizon 6 map and discovered almost every road, but have not been able to find sky lanterns in the spring or summer. We’ll update this guide once we find sky lanterns.

Where to find water lanterns in Forza Horizon 6

Water lanterns can be found in two locations during the summer:

  • The Peace Torii in the water in bottom left corner of the Shimanoyama region

Where to find tanabata streamers in Forza Horizon 6

Tanabata streamers can be found in three locations in the summer:

The Lady Aiko mural is on the west-facing wall of a building that opens towards the north in the northwest part of Tokyo City, and it’s perhaps the most difficult mural to find because there are a ton of buildings.

First, spot the baseball field that is just north of the Tokyo City Food Delivery job. We recommend driving west on the road north of the baseball field, but make sure you’re driving toward the baseball field, not past it. Before you reach the baseball field, you’ll find a building with the mural on your left.

Where to find the Statue of Hachikō in Forza Horizon 6

The Statue of Hachikō is found just beside Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo City. Look for the large grassy area in the northern section of Tokyo City. You’ll want to take the southwestern exit and follow it east until you reach a large intersection, which is Shibuya Crossing. Turn left at the intersection, but make sure to stop before the overhead. Look toward your left at the crowd of people, where you’ll find a statue of Hachikō, an Akita dog.
