Jennifer Lopez is teaming up with Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein for Office Romance, a steamy workplace love story.

Filming took place across New Jersey, USA and the Samaná Province in the Dominican Republic.

Jennifer and Brett were spotted filming scenes for Office Romance in Hoboken, New Jersey, back in April 2025.
The city sits directly on the Hudson River, opposite Manhattan in New York City. Film crews were seen along the waterfront in downtown Hoboken, with scenes including the loved-up couple grabbing a hot chocolate on a date, and Jackie getting legal advice at a burrito food truck.
Exterior shots of Daniel’s city apartment were filmed at the nearby Cliffs Lofts building.
The Air Cruz office scenes were filmed in Kenilworth, New Jersey
Jackie and Daniel first meet at the Air Cruz offices, with exterior shots filmed in Kenilworth, New Jersey where the Northeast Science & Technology Center doubled up as the office.
In real life, the location is a world-class science campus that boasts over two million square feet of laboratories.
Jackie’s luxury home is located in Montclair
The cast and crew filmed scenes set at airline CEO Jackie’s luxurious mansion at a property in Montclair, a district known as the cultural hub of New Jersey and a hotspot for NYC commuters.
It’s at this location that the couple enjoy a romantic dinner looking across at the Manhattan skyline, and where Daniel discovers Jackie’s secret room full of British memorabilia.
The romantic work trip was filmed in the Dominican Republic
Jackie and Daniel’s flirty relationship is taken to the next level during a work retreat to the Dominican Republic.
It’s here that they share neighbouring villas in a luxury resort, and they embark on a relationship that would cause any HR manager to break into a sweat.
This romantic liaison was filmed at the Cayo Levantado Resort on the coast of Samana in the Dominican Republic.
The luxurious resort boasts villas and suites that include a personal butler service, all-inclusive dining, private beaches and excursions that cover everything from whale watching to wellness retreats.
A real prison was used as a filming location
Several key scenes show Daniel visit his sister Lizzy (Jodie Whittaker) who is incarcerated in a New York prison.
The exterior shots were filmed at East Jersey State Prison, which has previously been used as a location in heist thriller Ocean’s Eleven.
Who is in the cast?
Jennifer Lopez leads the cast as Jackie Cruz, the head honcho of an airline. The pop superstar needs no introduction, with a string of acting credits including romcom classics Maid in Manhattan, Monster-in-Law, and The Wedding Planner, as well as last year’s criminally underrated musical Kiss of the Spider Woman.
Brett Goldstein stars as Daniel Blanchflower, the company’s new lawyer. The stand-up comedian is best known for his role as football coach Roy Kent in Ted Lasso, and recently lent his voice to The Sheep Detectives.
Jodie Whittaker (Doctor Who, Toxic Town) cameos as Lizzy, Daniel’s incarcerated sister in a scene-stealing appearance.
Betty Gilpin (GLOW) stars as Sydney, Jackie’s BFF and closest confidante. Edward James Olmos takes on the role of Captain Jack Cruz, the second time he’s played Jennifer Lopez’s onscreen father after 1997’s Selena.
