Minor Hotels signed Anantara Retreat Rabat in partnership with Bloom Holding. The project will mark Minor Hotels’ first property in Morocco and introduce the Anantara brand to the country.

The property is planned for Rabat’s diplomatic area, approximately 20 minutes from the city center. It will include rooms, suites and seven three-bedroom villas. The hotel’s design is set to combine traditional Moroccan architecture with contemporary design.

Anantara Retreat Rabat will include a signature restaurant, a Moroccan tea lounge and a swimming pool. Facilities will also include meeting rooms, an Anantara Spa and fitness facilities.

Bloom Holding is developing the hotel. The Abu Dhabi-based developer’s portfolio includes residential, mixed-use, hospitality, education and master-planned communities in the UAE and international markets.

Rabat is Morocco’s capital and is located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Bou Regreg River. In 2026, the city is UNESCO World Book Capital, recognizing its literary and creative culture.

Morocco recorded a 7% increase in international tourist arrivals during the first five months of 2026. Additional international air routes are also strengthening access to Rabat.

The signing is part of Minor Hotels’ expansion across the Middle East and Africa.
