a&o Expands International Sales Team with Strategic Hires in Brussels, London, and Copenhagen

a&o has expanded its International Sales team with the appointments of Adrien Colpaert, David Kupsky, and Christos Praftsas, assigning them to roles focused on the French, British, and Scandinavian markets.

a&o has appointed Adrien Colpaert, David Kupsky, and Christos Praftsas to its International Sales team, with Colpaert based in Brussels as Sales Manager for France, Kupsky in London, and Praftsas in Copenhagen. 

Colpaert holds a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management from La Haute École de Namur and has experience in event and hotel management in Spain, Australia, and Germany.

Kupsky, originally from the Czech Republic, holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Portsmouth and has worked in various hospitality roles, including hotel management.

Praftsas, from Greece, holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Roskilde University and has experience in marketing and sales across several international companies.

Since 2021, a&o has expanded in the UK with new locations in Edinburgh (2021) and Brighton (2024), and additional sites in London and Manchester are scheduled to open in 2025 and 2026. In Copenhagen, a&o operates two properties established in 2017 and 2020, offering a total of 1,370 beds.

For 2026, a&o expects up to 600,000 overnight stays across its UK properties with an average occupancy rate of approximately 75 percent. In Copenhagen, the company anticipates occupancy of about 80 percent, with around 328,000 overnight stays. The guest mix is 68 percent individual travelers and 32 percent groups, with continued demand from student and sports segments.

French guests now account for more than 10% of visitors to cities such as Brussels and Berlin, with numbers rising. Brand awareness in France stands at nine percent among a&o’s core target group, according to a recent YouGov survey.
