Avengers Actor Shocks the Internet by Confirming He’s Becoming a New Dad

Avengers, assemble! Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier actor Sebastian Stanhas just confirmed that his girlfriend, Annabelle Wallis, is pregnant, and the internet is absolutely losing it over the news that the Marvel Cinematic Universe star is about to be a new dad.

Speaking with Deadline, Stan confirmed that Wallis is expecting the couple’s first child together and shared, “I want to be a good dad.”

Deadline’s Instagram posts about the interview are flooded with comments from fans who are delighted by the news. One comment reads, “Im so happy to see he’s in the best moment professionally and personally ❤️ he’s gonna be, not just a good dad, he’ll be THE BEST ❤️.” Another says, “Yep, he’s gonna be such a great dad 🥹.”

Several comments are also simply images of characters and actors celebrating, including clips from New Girl and gifs of Stan’s MCU costars, such as Anthony Mackie, dancing.

However, other posts regarding the news have been met with quite a bit more heartbreak from fans. On Comic’s Instagram post about the news, one commenter wrote, “just fell to my knees” (and that comment currently has more than 1,000 likes). Like the Deadline post, this post is also full of gifs, although many of these show characters crying. More than one gif also includes the text, “It should have been me.”

Despite the heartbreak of some commenters who are expressing a bit of jealousy over the news, many fans are celebrating this exciting update from the actor. At present, Wallis has not commented publicly on her pregnancy, and outside of the interview with Deadline, Stan has not shared additional information either.

In addition to growing his family, Stan has a few exciting projects in the works, including his confirmed upcoming appearance in Marvel’s newest Avengers movie, Avengers: Doomsday, which will hit theaters on December 18, as well as his recently confirmed role in The Batman – Part II, for which many suspect he will be playing the role of Harvey Dent.
