Calgary’s only public flower market returns this July with fresh blooms

23 June 20263 Mins Read

The Beaulieu Flower and Artisan Market is one of Calgary’s most vibrant summer events, transforming the historic lawn of the Lougheed House into a gathering filled with local florists, artists, and makers. Located in the heart of the Beltline, it’s known as Calgary’s only public flower market, offering visitors a rare opportunity to explore fresh blooms, handmade goods, and creative installations all in one place.

So if you’re the type of person who always has a fresh bouquet of flowers sitting on the counter, this event is basically calling your name.

A summer celebration of blooms and local makers

Set against the backdrop of one of Calgary’s most iconic mansions, the market will feature over 30 local vendors showcasing everything from fresh-cut flowers and dried arrangements to handmade ceramics and botanical-inspired art.

Visitors can also stop by the Lougheed House booth, where you can bring home blooms that were grown right in the Beaulieu Gardens. Alongside cut flowers and herbs, irises from the garden will be available to buy and plant in your own backyard.

There are also free on-site workshops that give visitors a chance to test their creativity, with activities like printmaking and other hands-on art projects inspired by flowers and nature. If you’re looking to take part in one of the workshops, registration will open on Thursday, July 2, 2026. It’s important to sign up ahead of time so organizers can properly plan for participants.

Alongside the market stalls and workshops, visitors can enjoy interactive floral installations, and a live DJ set will run throughout the day.

The Beaulieu Flower and Artisan Market is happening on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., giving you plenty of time to explore the space. And one of the best parts is that it’s completely free to attend. Visitors will also get free admission to tour the Lougheed House itself, one of Calgary’s oldest and most historic mansions, featuring restored heritage rooms and exhibits that showcase life in early Calgary.

So if you’ve been thinking about starting your own flower garden or just want to pick up something fresh for your space, the Beaulieu Flower and Artisan Market is an easy way to get inspired and spend an afternoon surrounded by colour.

When: Saturday, July 18, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Beaulieu Gardens – 707 13th Ave. SW, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Free
