Canada’s largest gaming convention is taking over Edmonton this summer

27 April 20262 Mins Read

Game Con Canada is back for another year of celebrating everything about gaming.

This all-ages convention is returning this June for more action. Whether it be video games, board games, TTRPGs, or something entirely different, this expo is sure to have everything you could possibly be looking for. It doesn’t matter if you’re seated and watching the main stage or gaming at one of the many booths; it’s going to be an absolute blast.

Are you ready to press start? We sure are.

What to expect

This three-day gaming convention will take over the Edmonton Expo Centre this June, so gear up, people. There’s so much to do when you get inside — it’s like Candyland for gamers.

First things first: the games. There is a wide variety of video games as well as board games you can check out and try for yourself at the convention.

In addition to all the gaming action, you can also participate in one-shot adventures and get signatures at meet and greets with special guests. For a full list of special guests coming to the expo this year, check out the list on Game Con’s website.

Speaking of TTRPGs… you might be familiar with minitaures, the small character figures on the board. Well, this year, the convention made some investments to have top-tier miniature painting instructors offer free painting sessions. You can even take the miniature home! There are also more premium classes for those looking to level up their skills.

Truthfully, this convention has it all if you consider yourself a gamer in any way. If you’re looking to check out what’s new, what’s trending, and what you can get your hands on this summer, this is absolutely the place to be.

Tickets are already on sale, so don’t hesitate, folks. This will be a con to remember.

When: Friday, June 19, 2026, to Sunday, June 21, 2026
Time: Various times
Where: Edmonton Expo Centre — 7515 118th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $45+
