Coachella celebrates its 27th anniversary this year and stands firm as a cultural moment in which music and free-spirited style meet under the sun in Indio, California.
It’s a hot bed for brands courting festival goers, too. The Gap, E.L.F. cosmetics, Barbie, Marc Jacobs and Nike are just a few major brands with on-site activations. This year, attendees embraced the shimmering pop-girl aesthetic headliner Sabrina Carpenter flaunted on stage. There’s also club gear made to wear from day to night, and plenty of “desert boho energy,” as coined by Women’s Wear Daily.

Think fringe, cowboy boots, prints and crochet halter tops, which are nostalgic pieces once seen on the fields at Woodstock in 1969. From the past to present, it’s a joy to dress for the occasion of an epic guitar solo or a beat to drop.
