Courtyard by Marriott has opened Courtyard by Marriott Okinawa Resort, its first hotel in Okinawa. The 170-room beachfront property is located on Kise Beach in northern Okinawa, approximately one hour from Naha International Airport, and offers guestrooms and suites with ocean and mountain views.
The hotel features Shioka, an all-day dining restaurant serving international cuisine and Okinawan dishes, along with a daily breakfast buffet and chef-curated lunch and dinner menus. Additional dining options include a lobby lounge and bar with ocean views.
For meetings and events, the property offers a 210-square-meter function room on the tenth floor with audiovisual facilities, and a resort chapel on the second floor for weddings and ceremonies.
Recreational amenities include Marine Club Berry, which offers diving, flyboarding, stand-up paddleboarding, and snorkeling. The hotel also has a 24-hour fitness center with cardio machines and weights, and a Treehouse Kids’ Club with a children’s library, educational toys, and a ball pool.
Guestrooms and suites are equipped with modern amenities. Ocean View Rooms have private balconies overlooking the sea, while Mountain View Rooms offer views of the surrounding landscape. Some guestrooms accommodate up to four guests, and select suites include bunk beds.
Nearby attractions include Busena Marine Park Underwater Observatory, Kanehide Kise Country Club, and UNESCO World Heritage-listed Yambaru National Park.
The hotel was designed by Japanese architectural firm Kume Sekkei, with interiors inspired by the natural features of Okinawa’s west coast, including the colors of the sea and sand.
