Crocs’ New First-of-Its-Kind Release Is Flying Off Shelves

Crocs made waves when it dropped its brand-new Disney collaboration with a few never-before-seen products, and now, fans are taking to social media to show off their shopping scores. Not everyone has been as lucky, however, with some reporting that the items sold out in record time.

The latest Disney x Crocs drop, officially released in mid-April, includes headbands with customizable ears, a “so cute” addition to the product lineup where fans can buy Jibbitz to decorate in their own unique style.

In the full collection, there were six different ear headband color options, along with its traditional clog footwear, a fanny pack, and more accessories.

The collection has been flying off shelves, with four of the colorways having already sold out. What currently remains available for purchase online at Disneystore.com and Crocs.com (at the time of writing) is the classic Black Disney Mickey Mouse Headband and the Disney Minnie Mouse Headband featuring a glittery red bow, both for $34.99.

Dedicated fanatics seemingly have another option, though, as a May 11 blog post published by Walt Disney World News Today reported finding the pink Minnie Mouse Crocs Headband at Disneyland, claiming they “found both styles of ears at World of Disney in Downtown Disney.”

Fans Have Mixed Reactions

Across social media, the reviews have been mixed. Some love the collaboration, while others are less than impressed.

“These are too cute! 🖤🪄,” one fan of the Disney x Crocs headband ears wrote in the comments section of an Instagram Reel, while another added, “the cutest! def need to gooo,” and a third chimed in with, “I need this soooooo bad.”

Someone else added of their buying experience, “I just purchased the Minnie black and pink ears. I purchased Jibbitz as well.The pink sold out so fast but I scored.”

Meanwhile, naysayers mainly complained of the “toxic materials” associated with the brand. “Do they release chemicals in the heat like the croc shoes too?” one such person inquired.

“Do they shrink and warp in the sun like real crocs?” another asked, while a third commented, “Are they going to he the same crocs material?? I already feel my hair being pulled just thinking about it.”

Hate them or love them, true Disney fans waited no time adding them to their carts—whether online or in person—as made clear by the fact that so many styles have sold out within weeks of release.
