'Dutton Ranch' Renewal Has Fans Begging for the Same Thing in Season 2

As the season 1 finale of Dutton Ranch fast approaches, fans of the hit Taylor Sheridan series can rejoice that more is in store.

It was announced on Wednesday, June 24 that a second season has officially been greenlit, and fans already buzzing online about their hopes for what’s to come.

The Yellowstone spinoff starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler has been a hit for Paramount+, marking the biggest original series launch in the streamer’s history and topping the Nielsen streaming charts in its debut week, according to Variety.

“We’re just getting started,” reads a joint Instagram post by the Dutton Ranch account and Paramount TV Studios on Wednesday. “#DuttonRanch has been renewed for season 2!”

Fans certainly seem excited at the news, based on the comments left on Wednesday’s post. But more apparent among the comments was an overarching theme, in the form of a shared request the fans have for season 2 of Dutton Ranch — and the beloved characters played by Reilly, 48, and Hauser, 51:

“Please center season 2 more on Beth and Rip instead of making them a subplot in their own show!” wrote one Instagram user, while another person commented, “Seems pretty evident based on these comments that the fans want to see MORE scenes with Beth and Rip together in season 2! Please and thank you. ❤️”

The hit series, which technically serves as a sequel to Yellowstone, holds an impressive 89% average critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which offers the following synopsis:
