In Brief: Hyatt Hotels Corporation has appointed Eduardo Schutte as SVP, Commercial, Hyatt Inclusive Collection, effective July 27.

Hyatt announced the appointment July 23, 2026. Schutte will lead commercial strategy for Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection, reporting to Javier Águila, president, Inclusive Collection, Hyatt, and working in alignment with Hyatt Chief Commercial Officer Mark Vondrasek.
He will oversee sales, revenue management, brand, marketing, distribution and other commercial functions, supporting the collection’s next phase of growth.
Schutte most recently served as chief commercial officer of Cross Border Xpress and brings more than 30 years of senior commercial leadership experience across global hospitality, travel technology and asset-backed platforms. His career has included roles at Grupo Posadas, TravelClick, LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels, Hilton and Amadeus, with experience in sales, marketing, revenue management, distribution, pricing, strategic collaborations and business development.
Schutte holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a degree in hotel management from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection comprises more than 150 resorts and nearly 58,000 rooms across Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe. Its scale includes talent brought together through Hyatt’s acquisitions of Apple Leisure Group in 2021 and Playa Hotels & Resorts in 2025, as well as Hyatt’s joint venture with Piñero for the management of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts.
Recent openings include Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Secrets St. Lucia Resort & Spa, Secrets Baby Beach Aruba and Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa. Hyatt also cited renovations at Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort and Hyatt Zilara Cancun.
Planned openings before the end of 2026 include Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, Park Hyatt Riviera Maya and Grand Hyatt Los Cabos.
