Everything you need to know about the ‘Heated Rivalry’ soundtrack parties happening in Toronto, Canada Reviews

23 June 20262 Mins Read

Heated Rivalry just dominated the Canadian Screen Awards, and now, it’s coming for Toronto’s music scene, too.

Sony Music Soundtracks has announced Heated Rivalry x Gone to the Cottage indie record store vinyl release parties, with the physical editions arriving in record stores on July 10. To celebrate, participating stores across North America will host listening parties from July 10 to 12, with tons of freebies, activities, prizes and, of course, the chance to geek out with fellow loons!

In Toronto, fans can take part in the very cottage-coded celebration at these locations:

– Dine Alone Store: Friday, July 10, 2 pm | 864 Eastern Ave.

– High Notes Coffee + Vinyl: Friday, July 10, 6 pm | 2057 Dundas St. W and 109 Lakeshore Rd. E., Mississauga

– Dead Dog Records: Saturday, July 11 | 568 Church St.

– Hopeless Romantic Books: Saturday, July 11, 8:30 pm – 10:30 pm | 1080 Queen St W

– Pop Music: Friday, July 10, 6:30 pm | 345 Broadview Ave

– Kops Records

Then there’s the music. Fans can pick up vinyl and CD copies of the Heated Rivalry soundtrack while supplies last, with songs from the series, including Peter Peter’s original score and fan-fave needle drops from artists like Wolf Parade, Feist, t.A.T.u. and Harrison. It also comes with collectible insert items and a new bonus track, “One Soul (Cottage Mix).”

And because it’s the perfect keepsake, the vinyl edition comes as a 2-LP set with printed sleeves, two trading cards, a fold-out poster and liner notes by show creator Jacob Tierney. The CD version arrives as a 2-CD set with series imagery, a fold-out poster with credits and liner notes.

If you want to go really old-school, Sony Music Canada has also announced an official cassette version of the soundtrack, although fans will have to wait until mid-August for that one.

And Toronto isn’t the only Ontario city getting in on the celebration! Cornwall, Dundas, Hamilton, Kingston, London, Mississauga, St. Catharines and even Windsor are also listed among the Ontario stops, alongside record stores across the rest of Canada and the U.S.

You can see the full list of release party locations here.
