In Brief: Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has announced the opening of its reimagined resort following a CAD $100 million property-wide transformation.

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has reopened after an extensive CAD $100 million renovation, featuring a full redesign of its Main Lodge and guest rooms. The resort is set within 700 acres in Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rockies.

The transformation includes a refreshed Main Lodge, redesigned guest rooms, and updated Signature Cabins. More than 330 of the property’s 397 guest rooms, suites, and Signature Cabins have been renewed and redesigned with new interiors and layouts.

The Main Lodge lobby now offers panoramic views of Lac Beauvert and Whistlers Mountain, and the new lakeside patio provides additional outdoor space. The property’s general store and adventure hub, Embark Outpost & Provisions, has been reimagined to offer guided experiences, locally roasted coffee, trail snacks, and artisan goods. The Camp JPL Adventure Club, expected to debut in late summer, will provide supervised programming for children ages 5-12, including nature walks, wilderness skills, creative play, and storytelling.

The renovation introduces three new signature dining venues. Lume, located in the former Emerald Lounge, offers garden-forward menus and cocktails. Elderwood, which replaces the former Great Hall, is a timber-framed dining room serving seasonal, regionally inspired dishes. The Barbicon, named after Barbican Pass, provides a contemporary interpretation of a mountain steakhouse and features the Main Lodge’s original Tyndall stone fireplace.

Wellness experiences now include the Glacial Plunge & Sauna Journey on the shores of Lac Beauvert, incorporating thermal contrast, local botanicals, and guided mindfulness. The property offers all-season activities such as hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, and eco-tours. The resort also provides guided stargazing and Indigenous storytelling experiences, utilizing its location within a Dark Sky Preserve.

The Stanley Thompson–designed golf course has undergone restoration. Additional amenities include new pickleball courts and a playground. The resort continues to host signature events and seasonal celebrations, including the annual Christmas in November event.

The property is owned by Oxford Properties, which has committed more than $2 billion in Canada since 2025. Design firm HBA and Accor were involved in the transformation project.
