First Hospitality has appointed David Lang as regional vice president of operations for full-service and lifestyle hotels. In this role, Lang will provide strategic direction across a portfolio of hotels, with responsibilities including driving financial performance, overseeing operational functions, and supporting guest satisfaction initiatives. He will work with general managers and property-level teams to implement brand standards, enhance service culture, and optimize performance.
Lang brings more than 15 years of hospitality leadership experience. His previous roles span operations, development, and asset transformation. At New Waterloo, Lang contributed to operational excellence, commercial strategy, and strategic growth. He also served as general manager of The LINE Austin, a property managed by Sydell Group. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Sydell Group, SBE Hotel Group, and OLS Hotels & Resorts.
Lang studied hospitality management at the University of North Texas and holds a certification in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University.
